- Provide direct care for patients in the hospital setting by initiating hospital admissions, performing hospital consults, and rounding on critical care, intermediate care, and medical/surgical level hospitalized patients. Additionally, coordinate patient discharges.- Carefully obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations to accurately assess patients- Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies and laboratory tests- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for a variety of acute and chronic medical health conditions such as COPD, asthma, pneumonia, arrhythmias, heart failure, CVA, and DKA- Provide detailed patient education to patients and family members throughout their hospitalization- Collaborate effectively with members of the medical team including physicians, specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and case managers to provide safe and high-quality patient care- Execute acute care procedures including radiograph interpretation, CT interpretation, electrocardiogram interpretation, ultrasound-guided IV access, arterial line insertion, PICC line insertion, and intubation

- Participate and orchestrate educational instruction and activities related to the Physical Diagnosis course series, Medical Practice course series, and simulation exercises for PA students- Problem-Based Learning (PBL) course facilitator in the Critical Thinking in Medicine Course series
