• Oversaw the application of physical security programs and solutions during the construction and renovation of over 20 U.S. embassies around the world, overseeing 55 employees in the United States and abroad
• Led the development and revision of physical security standards for U.S. diplomatic facilities worldwide
• Collaborated with architecture and construction firms to balance the Department of State’s security standards with aesthetic concerns to ensure U.S. diplomatic facilities are secure, functional, and welcoming
• Refined and enhanced the “soft target” grant program to increase the security of non-diplomatic facilities and locations associated with the U.S. Embassy and the private American community
• Developed a prioritization process to direct the order of construction and renovations according to the risk and deficiencies of each location and ensure equity in the disbursement of resources across embassies

• Coordinated the Department of Defense’s emergency planning, crisis response, and humanitarian assistance efforts in support of the Department of State by creating and implementing plans for delivering security.
• Served as the liaison between the 4-star commander overseeing U.S. military activities in Africa and U.S. embassies across the continent to ensure synchronized and coordinated efforts in furtherance of holistic.
• Developed a program to include military personnel in crisis response and emergency planning exercises to build, strengthen, and maintain relations with the U.S. military in the area and enhance collaboration
• Awarded the Distinguished Civilian Service Award for sustained excellent performance in 2015

• Managed and led all security programs, including supervising American, local national staff, and the U.S. Marine contingent, while implementing and enhancing security protocols related to investigations, VIP.
