• Coordinated the Department of Defense’s emergency planning, crisis response, and humanitarian assistance efforts in support of the Department of State by creating and implementing plans for delivering security augmentation and capabilities to support over 50 diplomatic missions throughout Africa• Served as the liaison between the 4-star commander overseeing U.S. military activities in Africa and U.S. embassies across the continent to ensure synchronized and coordinated efforts in furtherance of holistic security programs• Developed a program to include military personnel in crisis response and emergency planning exercises to build, strengthen, and maintain relations with the U.S. military in the area and enhance collaboration • Awarded the Distinguished Civilian Service Award for sustained excellent performance in 2015
