Role:- Dealing with a variety of businesses from owner managed SME’s to complex corporate structures including Public Limited Companies.- Responsible for the full audit process from planning stage through to completion and sign-off within set timeframes.- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, budgeting and cashflow forecasting.- Managing, training and mentoring junior staff and taking responsibility for their learning and development during audits, taking charge of teams of up to 5 individuals.- Drafting key output documents to clients including post audit reports detailing weaknesses and proposed solutions to internal controls.- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and their staff, often dealing directly with senior management and ensuring client expectations are met. Experience gained:- Through developing and consolidating relationships with clients, I have been able to gain an in-depth understanding at an operational and strategic level to identify critical process improvements and deliver client value as part of the audit process.- Given responsibility for highly technical assignments and for a number of larger prestigious audit clients. My client service skills mean that I am often chosen to perform audits for new clients.- Managing a number of assignments simultaneously developing effective time management skills.- Preparation of management and statutory accounts from basic records as well as identifying and processing accounting adjustments.
