I manage a small office with a good team supporting the testing of ETS's TOEIC English tests in Australia, NZ and Fiji. My role is to continually improve our approach to better meet international student certification needs, upgrade invigilator training, support English schools and generally find new ways of serving customers.

Principal Consultant

Pro-Match Personal Profiles

Sydney

Initial responsibility was IT based. This broadly increased from mid-2012 to use my psychology experience for an ASEAN project - my task was to integrate a well respected psychological test (with a new ASEAN report I was designing) into the current user journey (job-seekers), from testing to job application. The user focus was on job seekers, with HR secondary, analysing all stakeholder needs as part of the report design. I wireframed our initial personality report as an "International Communication" report (tied to our English proficiency report), then developed content for it and made a hifi prototype (with a graphic designer). A second more substantial report was also well received and tied to a novel use of a person-job match configuration process that allowed it to make interpretation simpler but also less human-error prone, which we began testing. The concept, designs and prototypes were appealing beyond ASEAN, and were taken on by ETS Global.

Ux Designer Freelance

Freelance Projects: Pro-Match, Saville Select Asia, Nsw Doe, Innovations Accelerated, Cob Lifehouse

Sydney, Australia

2 UX projects, 1 UX client project, 3 UX course projects, 1 SD course project and 1 personal UX course project. UX intensive course with Academy XI, followed by a part time SD course. Real clients with current needs, we formed 4 person teams under UX Lead Robert Williams, and an 8 person team for our SD client. Prior to this I worked on 2 projects, one described under "Principal consultant", the other 4 years later researching business needs and journeys of HR companies on a separate product to test and manage applicant abilities. In both cases I used wireframes & developed low-fi prototypes. I'm currently working on the UX of a phone app for personal security. In the courses I was involved in all aspects with a strength in stakeholder meetings, business needs and user interviews (due to my experience), as well as testing assumptions, and usability testing. We collaborated on surveys, affinity mapping and research analysis. Our ideation was sometimes team based and sometimes individual, using wireframes to communicate individual and group concepts and choose what we then prototyped. I prototyped in 2 of the 3 projects (AdobeXD and Balsamiq), and usability tested users on all prototypes.
