Effectively integrated technical, communications and public affairs activities to deliver successful campaigns that produced real environmental improvements and in the process build T&Es profile, reputation & resources. Notable successes included: • Successful "95 grams" campaigns to secure ambitious 2020 new car CO2 emissions limits despite strong opposition from Germany and its car industry. These standards are now driving the shift to electric cars in Europe. • Securing the worlds most ambitious car new CO2 limits for 2025 and 2030. A 2 year campaign managing a network of more than 50 campaign groups to persuade Members of the European Parliament and EU Member States to significantly strengthen a weak legislative proposal of the European Commission. • Providing the NGO voice of the dieselgate scandal in Europe and exposing how carmakers cheated tests. Resulted in a essential new technical legislation that strengthen both the EU system of vehicle approvals and tests by exposing cheating and collusion by carmakers • Developed T&Es campaign for emobility including establishing the multi-stakeholder Platform for Electromobility. The wo rk transformed attitudes of policy makers and emobility has become recognised now as the primary way to decarbonise transport.
