I have been involved with enterprise startups and spin outs since beginning my career in the microelectronics industry. Joined sales and marketing team at Apex Microtechnology in 1993 after working with several initial ventures, including the privately held Vitarel Microelectronics, a spinout from AVX and Scrantom Engineering, and which was subsequently sold to C-MAC. In 1995, supported a management led exit of the Apex corporate founder, and five years later he drove the private equity purchase of Apex by Alerion Capital Group based in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 2007, managed the successful sale of Apex to Cirrus Logic Inc, headquartered in Austin, Texas. I was named corporate Vice President and the General Manager to support Cirrus’ continued growth. When Cirrus Logic opted to sell the Apex product division in 2012, we led an charge to its successful divestiture and completed the private equity sale in July of 2012 to re-establish Apex Microtechnology as a stand-alone operation. Outside my role as President and CEO at Apex, I serve on several board of directors at corporations in the healthcare and consumer market segments. My undergraduate education started in the BSEE program and was completed with a B.S. in business.
