I learn quickly and listen to others while applying my knowledge and skills developed from working in a range of industries and cultures. I am therefore able to tackle complex problems from a fresh perspective often discovering new knowledge or developing new techniques to accomplish tasks previously thought unachievable.I am a qualified marine biologist and experienced environmental impact assessment practitioner having worked on projects all around Australia, Scotland, and more recently Pacific Islands during my time with SPREP. Member of the Pacific Network of Environmental Assessment, a community of practice for Pacific EA regulators, World Bank and ADB officers. I have facilitated capacity building and knowledge sharing for Impact Assessment practices in the Pacific. Co-authored the Pacific Regional Guidelines for Strategic Environmental Assessment https://www.researchgate.net/publication/345197906_STRATEGIC_ENVIRONMENTAL_ASSESSMENT_SEA_Guidelines_for_Pacific_island_countries_and_territories. I have provided technical support to the Pacific Small Island Developing States working with OPOC and other CROP agencies for the negotiations of the internationally legally binding instrument biodiversity beyond national jurisdiction (BBNJ). The BBNJ agreement seeks to conserve and maintain the sustainable use of biological resources under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
