About Greg Barbara

I have facilitated capacity building and knowledge sharing for Impact Assessment practices in the Pacific. Co-authored the Pacific Regional Guidelines for Strategic Environmental Assessment https://www.researchgate.net/publication/345197906_STRATEGIC_ENVIRONMENTAL_ASSESSMENT_SEA_Guidelines_for_Pacific_island_countries_and_territories. I have provided technical support to the Pacific Small Island Developing States working with OPOC and other CROP agencies for the negotiations of the internationally legally binding instrument biodiversity beyond national jurisdiction (BBNJ). The BBNJ agreement seeks to conserve and maintain the sustainable use of biological resources under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
