Support glass diode production by working directly with DAP vacuum sealers, belt furnaces, and assembly fixtures. I worked in the product engineering department at Microchip Technology. My work consisted of modelling a variety of the available packages using Solidworks, including diodes, transistors, hybrids, etc. Once accurate CAD models were created, I performed various analyses on the parts using ANSYS Workbench. Types of analyses included primarily thermal, electric, thermal-electric, and structural analysis. My work allowed senior engineers to quickly compare different designs and accurately gauge part performance under many loading conditions.
