Strategically placed as primary liaison between field associates and associates of 8 North Star divisions and 11 U.S. Food Atlantic regions to support the consolidated purchasing group in Greenville, South Carolina. Ensured procedural compliance on adjustments in ordering patterns and implementing cost effective conversions along with implementing logistics development projects including mode shifts, “less than truck load” (LTL) consolidation and development of cross-dock operations. • Coordinated a new inter-division hauling strategy which met the projected budget and matched outside carrier pricing enabling the company to maintain the funds internally which resulted in 6% increase over the budget projection• Improved logistics by managing a streamlined backhaul process which enabled ordering patterns adjustments resulting in backhaul efficiencies saving driver overtime and fuel costs.• Teamed with buyers, vendors and carriers to change vendors to back haul allowing a more controlled process providing quicker response time to minimize any potential problems.• Coordinated the implementation of divisional lanes which helped to streamline the interdivision hauling process allowing the VP of Operations to review and choose “runs” which increased revenue.• Responsible for reviewing vendor reports and coordinating loads that could be made a full load and changed to back haul resulting in increased load efficiencies.
