Early tasks included working on back end processes to facilitate on line customer take on as part of the launch into the Gas supply market, as well as improving internal management reporting processes and interaction with Bord Gais Group Finance and Treasury to arrange finance to support Supply launch and ongoing network construction within firmus distribution network ongoing at c.£10m p.a.Whilst with the business customers have grown from 4,000 to 75,000, turnover has grown to c£125m and overall network investment to date is c£100m.Appointed Finance Director in June 2014 on the sale of the business. The business operates on a standalone basis and I have had to recreate and manage internal functions previously provided at a Bord Gais group level including Treasury and Tax, Corporate Planning and FP&A, Insurance, Accounts payable, Payroll and Company Secretarial Services.Responsible for statutory and Regulatory reporting and more recently following appointment as a director to our holdco, managing relationships and administration of structural finance arrangements and reporting with lenders. Company Secretary to operating companies.I am also responsible for: the HR dept managing over 100 staff; the Billing and credit control function invoicing 75,000 customers c£150m including VAT and CCL and following recent internal reorganisation, the IT and Business Change function.This involved taking over the management of an OJEU tender process, final negotiations and appointment of a new IT managed service provider whilst managing transitional arrangements with former owners Bord Gais. Finally, this literally required a hands on approach to management of the actual transition to the new IT infrastructure platform, which will deliver significant cost savings and facilitate the development of IT systems more tailored to the business's needs.

Managed the outsourcing of payroll operations, within a period of change in a unionised environment as well as re-negotiating contracts with key suppliers in ancillary service environments, bringing costs in line with activity levels and developing financial arrangements to facilitate a joint venture arrangement with a major industrial engineering consultancy company in the energy services market. Worked with Industrial Sales team to look at opportunities to add value to major sales contracts Latterly supported the preparation of the information memorandum for the sale of Bord Gais Energy and its firmus subsidiary, responding to due diligence questions and preparing cash flow information at short notice and supporting presentations to prospective buyers.With prospective break up of the business on sale accepted request to return to firmus to strengthen the management team in February 2014.
