Risk and Control• Provide day-to-day support to the Strategic Resolution Unit’s Securitized Products, Commodities, Life Finance, Credit, and FX teams including maintaining a robust control framework, acting as the front to back point person for issue escalation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with strategic planning and implementation.• Review business performance, red flags, and control limit breaches through monitoring of daily and monthly reports, highlighting trends, and identify key opportunities to improve performance using pivot tables and vlookups to sort information from large data sets.• Provide the maintenance of supervisory framework, including checklists, org charts, and responsibility for reporting Operational Risk losses or Control Incidents.• Prepare monthly Business Risk and Control Meeting (BRCM) providing trend analysis based on Key Risk Indicators (KRI’s) for presentation to senior management and C-Level executives.• Maintain the Global Book Manager (GBM) as the firms ‘golden source’ for all trading book and department information.Regulatory • Adoption of new regulations from the SEC, FINRA and any other regulating body as applicable.• Lead the Volcker Rule project in Strategic Resolution Unit tagging over 2,000 trading books for their intended purpose.• Make sure that Trading and Structuring staff are appropriately licensed for all products they are trading as well as the Countries and States they work with.Transactional• Coordinating across Legal, Compliance, Middle Office Operations, Investor Services, Risk, IT, etc. on a daily basis to ensure businesses are performing at optimal levels.• Assist trustee, master servicer, internal and external counsel with corrective assignments.• Monitoring of contractual relationships and payment distributions to ensure appropriateness of commissions and fees.• Act as front office liaison to assist legal compliance department with litigation requests.
