Served as contract manager and key interface with site partner company and company representative in local community.

Led Celanese Clear Lake Acetyls production units (Acetic Acid and Vinyl Acetate). Responsible for direct reports (production engineers, specialist, team leaders, other staff) and multiple indirect reports (operators). Responsible for EHS, operation, production planning, setting and managing budgets, turnaround planning, and overall accountability for units’ performance.

Led Celanese Clear Lake Technical group composed of Process Engineers, Process Control Engineers, Process Control Technicians, and Process Chemists. Responsible for multiple direct and indirect reports. Site program owner for six sigma, productivity, process safety, technical training and mentorship, and manage technology work process. Final reviewer for process engineering and process control packages.

Drove technology enhancement efforts in the Acetic Acid area. Key contributor in designing new technology for next generation world-class acetic acid unit. Assisted in development and execution of strategic projects for all Acetic Acid units, provides process technical support of the Acetic Acid manufacturing units and participates in definition and execution of Acetic Acid R&D program. Platoon Leader of a tank platoon in an enhanced brigade equipped with four M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks and associated equipment worth over $25 million. Responsible for leading, training, and developing a professional, well disciplined, and physically fit platoon of soldiers and for the accountability, maintenance, and combat readiness of tanks and associated equipment. Served as logistics technician in Camp Doha, Kuwait.
