Currently reside in a car with my wife and two kids. I've spent the past two decades as a journalist and am the former morning anchor for NBC News in San Diego, but like to think of myself as a storyteller first.I’m a husband to an amazing woman and a dad to two of the smartest, cutest, most athletic kids in the world (this has not been independently verified)Other than my family, there’s nothing I’m more passionate about than helping people share their stories. People who think they have nothing interesting to say, sometimes have the most powerful stories to tell.I started at NBC in San Diego fresh out of college as a writer and worked my way to the anchor desk doing a lot of different jobs along the way from writing, and producing to shooting and editing.I always tell kids, say yes. Nothing prepares you more to be a leader than having done the jobs of the people around you. It’s the only way to truly appreciate how much they do every day.Along the way, have won 24 emmys for writing, reporting, editing and photography along with twice being named the National Press Photographer Association’s Solo Video Journalist of the Year. But in the end, nothing is more fulfilling than telling a great story.
