As a council member, I worked to promote transparency and encourage open communication within our local government. I also worked with fellow council members, the Mayor, and City staff, to strengthen and diversify our tax base (thereby keeping our taxes lower!), attract new businesses, and strategically plan for our future, while assuring continued upkeep and maintenance of our municipal infrastructure. It took a lot of work by all, and some good fortune, to maintain our standing as the Best Small Town in Minnesota for all of those years!
