Greengate Group is a Senior’s Living provider that conceives and operates both independent village living and a modern aged care home in one convenient location. Greengate manage the entire value creation process, from identifying the best locations to the planning, design, sales and marketing, and ongoing management of the village and aged care home.My predominant role at Greengate was within New Business - identifying suitable locations and completing feasibility studies for new retirement villages. Traditionally retirement villages are developed at the fringe of our expanding cities where land is cheap and plentiful forcing our elderly to leave their communities at a vulnerable time in their lives, however, Greengate villages are inner urban, located close to existing amenity; shops, hospitals, churches and transport.This presents an exciting new opportunity to work on a new typology for Senior’s Living often manifesting itself into mixed-use vertical villages. This new model allows our elderly to stay in the community where socialisation and care is readily available.Completed a DA and various S96 applications for St. Patrick's Green located at Chapel Street, Kogarah to the south east of Sydney CBD. Village includes a 72 bed aged care nursing home and 137 independent living apartments arranged around a village green and community lounge, café and dining space and is part of a broader campus containing a primary school and historic church. Currently under construction.Completed a feasibility for St Faber’s Green - a new retirement community on the land surrounding the Holy Spirit Church on Harriett Street, Auchenflower in Brisbane. Became a live project earlier this year when a land settlement was made with the Archdiocese of Brisbane. GG has just completed a pre-DA meeting with council and are continuing to engage with the local community to get the best outcome.

Westfield shopping centres are highly productive, with strong franchise value and the ability to attract the world’s leading retail brands. They are an essential part of the community’s social and economic fabric. Last year more than 1 billion customer visits generated over $40 billion in retail sales.My role was within the Concept Design Team to help improve its portfolio by redeveloping existing malls as well as acquiring sites with development opportunities in new markets. This role required many design solutions from an urban design scale to interior design detail to forward The Group’s strategy to develop superior retail destinations in major cities by integrating food, fashion, leisure and entertainment and by using technology to better connect retailers with consumers.Worked on a detailed Creative Design Package for Westfield North Lakes - a shopping centre located 25 kilometres north of Brisbane’s CBD in one of the region’s fastest growing areas. Moreton Bay Regional Council granted planning approval for a redevelopment scheme including over 100 specialty stores including Kmart, a cinema complex and Ikea store. The CDP included final proposals for a fresh food market and al fresco dining precinct that will connect to a new Event Cinemas complex, as well as designs for a new 60-store retail mall linking the Ikea store currently under construction to the existing centre.

Helped complete a DA design for a new 20 storey, 635 bed student housing tower for Urbanest at the southern gateway to the new Sydney International Convention, Exhibition, and Entertainment Precinct (SICEEP) in Darling Harbour and The Haymarket.However, my focus was in the area of masterplanning and feasibility for medium and high density residential development in both the private and public sector. Gained valuable experience working for state government departments and local government on numerous planning strategies including Randwick UAP and North Parramatta.

I worked with the international team designing and developing the Indonesian International Expo in Jakarta and a medium-density housing scheme for Guangzhou which involved collaborating with a Local Design Institute (LDI) in China.I also prepared drawings for Macquarie University Master Plan and Public Domain Design.

Designer of schools within the Architecture team within the education sector and was involved in a number of projects including University of Chester CofE Academy, Salford BSF, Oldham Academies, Saadiyat International School, EdVenture Schools, Sutton Academy and the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Interior Academy.Developed front end design concepts as well as working on more detailed packages for a number of projects on site.

Hewitt Studios LLP was established in late 2008 to provide innovative Project Creation advice to clients (be they public sector, private sector or joint-venture partners), as well as, Project Delivery expertise.Completed an interim presentation for Trier Way Development in Gloucester, a mixed-use scheme with 76,500 ft2 of retail space & residential units above. Worked on the conceptual development of Hereford Art College foyer project which now has the go-ahead.

Stubbs Rich is an award-winning practice with a broad range of work throughout the UK and beyond. Their work is varied, covering many sectors including masterplanning, regeneration, education, workplace, residential, retail and research and development.Worked from inception on Hereford College of Technology Phase I, a £21m further education campus & Komedia, a £500,000 retrofit project of a Grade II listed cinema (RIBA stages A-L). Had the privilage to develop exciting schemes for clients such as Morgan, Goodyear Dunlop & Top Gear. Published in AJ for an open competition for a mobile exhibition unit for Arash Cars. Took an active role in student recruitment and events marketing.

The company designs for all building types including civic, education, health, transport, commercial, residential and industrial buildings.Designed and prepared promotional and presentation drawings for a mixed-use residential scheme in Lichfield for competition entry. Generated detailed CAD drawings for PFI Schools in Exeter & prepared them for planning submission. Concept designer for St Luke's Cycle Bridge.

Kendall Kingscott are a provider of consultancy services throughout the South of England and South Wales. They offer services in Architecture, Building Surveying, Interior Design, Project Management, CDM Co-ordination, and Sustainability.Completed an OBC for an OPMHU, a £6m new building, on the site of the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, which provides inpatient, outpatient and community services for older adults with mental health problems. Assisted in the design of St Sidwell's Primary School, Exeter through stages A to D. The existing school had a Victorian core which was identified as a building of local importance.
