- Industrial placement carried out in part-requirement towards obtaining Masters Degree.- Worked on project looking at Diageos existing cask inventory.- Sample management, ordering and disposal of maturing whisky stocks.- Responsible for leading daily Scotch Whisky and NMS sensory panels.- Day to day running of lab equipment.- Supported distillery quality trials across Diageos existing distillation sites.

Over a three month period I worked within the laboratory development team on a project related to olefin cracker streams. I was responsible for the day to day running of the project which involved liaising with laboratory and plant personnel, testing, writing reports and presenting results. As well as technical exposure, this placement gave me a valuable insight into the operation of a multi-national business.
