My career as an automotive technician actually started when I was five or six years old taking apart my wagon, bike, or anything else I could get my hands on. I dreamed of the day I could motorize something! My first car was a '66 VW Bug that really should have been scrapped. With the help of family, friends, and neighbors, I rebuilt the Bug and learned all about air cooled Volkswagens. I took my passion and worked my way up from a Volkswagen specialty shop to learning about all European cars. I have since worked at general repair shops, as well as dealerships.I became ASE master certified at 23 and, soon after, achieved an L-1 certification. I continue to maintain them today. I first opened Aspen Auto Clinic for business in my home garage in the first few months of 2001. I put my tools away in 2007 after acquiring my second location and decided that I needed to work on the business; I more seriously undertook the transition of becoming a business man in the car industry instead of just a car guy in business.Since that time, I have grown my business to five locations that serve the Front Range of Colorado. I am not only the CEO of this company, I am the founding member and CEO of Transformers Mastermind, a group of like-minded, multi-store shop owners who endeavor to be “the best of the best”. I am also CEO of Full Throttle direct mail, a company dedicated to helping great businesses grow. I am on the advisory board for Ratchet and Wrench magazine and am routinely interviewed for articles in the magazine. I also work with owners of both large and small shops for select consulting engagements and multi-level sales training across the U.S. I have a true passion for change in the automotive industry so that the public truly appreciates those who are doing it well and seeing automotive professionals get the respect and compensation they deserve.
