Pitstops Project is a 3 year partnership initiative which builds on learning from previous employability programmes & uses sport (rugby) as an engagement tool to support disengaged people into work. The initiative is based on evaluation of pilot School Of Hard Knocks Programmes & aims to support a maximum of 300 participants to realise their potential and enhance life skills such as confidence, motivation, team-work, discipline, respect and personal responsibility. Overall responsibility for the project, in particular:• The development and management of strategic partnerships (Jobs & Business Glasgow, NHS, Job Centre Plus, Low Moss, Employers, British Army etc.)• Oversee implementation and delivery of courses/cohorts• Line management of all project staff• Operations and logistics• Manage specific events such as course graduation, jobs fayre etc.• External communications/PR• Budget responsibility• Reporting responsibility

Linking sport, health & education to increase participation & volunteering in sport/physical activity in North Glasgow (G21/G22)*Increase participation in physical activity, sport, training & volunteering in North Glasgow by developing, managing & building relationships with the community and key delivery partners to maximise community engagement, with the 2014 Commonwealth Games as a key priority. *Map existing structures & activities to identify local sporting assets (physical & social), and establish geographical actions plan(s) to reflect all stages in project*Establish and engagement & connectivity strategy linking CWG assets to area*Establish, manage & build relationships with the community, community leaders & individuals and local residents to harness their support and resources, and plan activities
