Early in my career, while working for Industrial Design and Product Design Engineering firms, I observed something fundamentally broken in the hardware development consultancy paradigm. Hardware projects frequently failed, not because the product was flawed, but because the interests of all parties involved are not aligned. This misalignment drives failure. You can see it all around the Hardware Development landscape. Only 3% of hardware startups become successful.Over 20 years ago, I started building Tact Product Development to help companies avoid this misalignment and move deftly and successfully through the development process. Through decades of experience, we’ve developed processes, strategies, contractual tactics, communication methods, and standards specifically designed to drive the product (and our clients) towards success.
