Throughout my teaching career, I have dedicated myself to creating dynamic learning experiences for students and fostering a culture of innovation and exploration. One of my proudest achievements is the development of a successful MakerSpace class and community, which has empowered students to engage in hands-on learning and pursue their passions in technology and engineering both inside and outside the classroom.My experience extends beyond the classroom as I have co-written several grants and initiated partnerships with local businesses to provide students with real-world learning opportunities, including internships and client projects. Recognizing the importance of equipping students with job-ready skills, I spearheaded and cowrote several large grants to bring our shop and computer lab up to current career ready status. A massive undertaking was cowriting and earning a State designated Innovation Pathway in Manufacturing at my current school. Managing this designation while maintaining a full course load has been a welcomed challenge; I am able to witness the immediate and direct impact of my grant management efforts in student growth and engagement as I implement new classes, bring on real world client projects and teach students new skills on advanced manufacturing equipment.Starting from my first day teaching, I have honed my skills in curriculum development, grant management, and mentorship while maintaining a full course load of teaching. I built my current department from the ground up and have redeveloped it annually as directed by student interest and industry standards. My versatility as an educator is evidenced by my ability to teach a wide range of subjects; Robotics, CNC milling, 3D Design (Inventor, Solidworks, Fusion360, Onshape), 3D Printing, Laser Engraving, Vinyl Cutting/Printing, Woodworking, MIG welding, TIG welding, Metal Fabrication, Automotive, Arduino Programming, Textiles (screen printing, sewing, knitting), Blacksmithing, Agriculture.What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to serving students and fostering their growth both inside and outside the classroom. I am deeply passionate about creating student-centered curriculum, writing grants, and building lifelong relationships that support students' academic and personal development.
