I provide key technical guidance from a certification perspective.Certification Engineer: I have gained strong knowledge of the safety requirements of many ANSI standards, including: fuel cell power systems, hydrogen generators, furnaces, hot water and steam boilers, water heaters, room heaters, and much more.I am responsible for developing the scope & the cost of the CSA certification program ensuring that it completes itself in a timely manner, conducting the safety tests, making decisions that determine whether the product complies with the safety requirements and writing the certification report.Field Engineer: I evaluate/test non-certified gas or electrical products on-site at end use application. This role requires critical thinking capability under confining time constraints to evaluate whether the product is safe, and if it was properly installed for the given environment. A working knowledge of the National Fuel Gas Code is necessary for this position.Training Specialist: My expertise has been used to train many of the major mfrs on the ANSI gas safety requirements, including: American Water Heater Co., BSH, Carrier Corp., General Electric, Lennox, Maytag, Mestec Boilers, Rheem, A.O. Smith, Trane, Weil-McLain & Whirlpool.Inspector: I have conducted thousands of inspections at mfg facilities. I discern if the product being shipped from the manufacturer’s plant is built in accordance with the certified design, ensuring that the product is safely constructed.
