Greg's role and skill set is to set the strategic vision and direction for Health & Safety Programs.Ensures consistent application of the H&S policies/procedures, ensuring company business and compliance goals are achieved; Oversee safety management programs, injury prevention, risk and hazard assessment programs.Bring management focus to sites or department which require improvements in their safety performance; using teamwork and real “shop floor” solutions, work toward continuous improvement of safety culture and overall performance.Develop, drive and sustain initiatives that support a strong organizational safety culture; Track and evaluate injury trends to determine operational, financial or other business impacts and implement industry best practices; Internal safety auditor for COR safety program to achieve the WorkSafeBC Certificate of Recognition Program (COR); Provide leadership, mentoring and direction for all safety officers, coordinators and managers.Develop, implement and audit all confined space entry programs, Write lockout and Hot-work procedures.Implement GRTW or return to work programsWrite and implement, safety plan and procedures for COVID-19.Review and improve plans for work with cranes and rigging, including critical lift plans.Develop SOP/SWP’s and train workers in injury prevention, emergency response and rescue procedures for confined entry and also confined space rescue, musters, and evacuations.
