Lead the delivery of key work-streams of the Sales Based Ordering business change Programme by applying structured project management methodologies

I was instrumental in establishing the first Enterprise-wide Strategic Portfolio Management Office, to support and govern 12 strategic transformation initiatives spanning across every function; in order to achieve a substaintial benefit realisation in the 2014 / 15 financial year. I was personally responsible for liaising with a third party supplier to implement a portfolio management system and for coaching and training all the Programme Managers and Initiative Leads.

Part of the Commercial implementation team during the rollout of the first 100 convenience stores. I was leading the analysis on key commercial aspects such as Pricing and Ranging Strategy, provided BAU merchandising support, micro and macro space planning, recruitment of new store Team Leaders and Deputy Managers and spent time troubleshooting in ill performing stores.

Responsible for overseeing the ‘MCreate' Project, which was a major system upgrade used to manage the end-to-end product development process. The Project consisted of working with a third party supplier to implement the system upgrade ensuring all internal customer requirements were met.

Working in the Business Development and Integration / Live Trials area, during one of the biggest system integrations in Europe between HBOS and Lloyds TSB. Responsible for the auditing of transactions and test scripts, ensuring compliance with associated procedures and a robust financial audit trail. In the final month I transitioned to executing test scripts to close down accounts ensuring capital reconciliation.

Starting in the kitchen and progressing to Shift Manager and subsequently Deputy Manager as part of my industrial placement, I gained many managerial skills such as: Cash and Stock Management, Labour Management and People Management including; performance reviews, disciplinary matters, coaching and training. I also monitored / achieved company targets.

I embraced my business and entrepreneurial spirit by setting up an online business, purchasing technology based products from liquidation auctions and selling to businesses and end users through mainly online forums. Key skills gained; market research / analysis, creation of B2B / B2C liaisons, sales and negotiations and overall E2E management of a small business.
