From 1998-2021, I worked as a member of the development team, story and archive researcher, then Head of Development at Electric Pictures. In an arguably pretty incredible career in this fickle industry of ours, I originated and contributed to the development of a large number of proposals that went on to being commissioned. I was the concept originator of a number of films/series produced by EP over the years, including Child Soldiers (ABC, RTHK, HBO), Gallipoli Submarine (ABC/ZDF), Enigma Man (ABC), The Hunt For HMAS Sydney (ABC), and Submariners (SBS, RDF Int). I was also a member of conceptual teams developing programs such as Desert War (ABC, BBC Scotland), the Emmy-nominated Surviving Mumbai (ABC, C4 UK), The Great Escape: the Reckoning (ABC, C4 UK), Boomtown (ABC) and Skin Deep (RAI, SBS). Also, the 4 x 1 series for ABC: 'The War That Changed Us'.In 2017-18, I returned to full-time work to lead a research (story/character/archive) team for the production of 5 episodes of the Drain the Ocean series for National Geographic International.I've also co-written or been participating writer on a number of productions, including Desert War, Skin Deep, and Cracking the Colour Code (SBS and overseas broadcasters).In 2021, I departed Electric Pictures in order to pursue freelance film work and seek out other opportunities.
