My career path includes thirteen years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative in the Harrisburg, PA, territory where I enjoyed success in promoting my product portfolio and providing value added services to my customers. I excel at forming and building strong relationships with a wide range of customers and leveraging those relationships for increased market share in my territory.

Assisted in the supervision and administration of all aspects of the procurement process in accordance with the responsibilities of the Department of General Services (DGS), Office of Procurement. Specifically, (1) I researched issues relating to the procurement process and prepared position papers on those issues for the Deputy Secretary of Procurement, (2) investigated and mediated vendor bid protests in concert with DGS Legal Staff, (3) assisted in the analysis of proposed legislation that would impact the procurement process under DGS (4) represented DGS on the de facto Total Quality Improvement committee that originated in PennDot and spread to other agencies, and (5) researched and assisted in developing purchasing initiatives that focused on products made from recycled materials. In 1993 and 1994, I represented the DGS Office of Procurement at the Great Lakes Council of Governor's Conference when the Council began promoting the use of recycled materials throughout the Great Lakes region by harnessing the collective purchasing power of the eight state region to stimulate the recycled product markets. This initiative resulted in a successful multi-state recycled paper bid.

Designed, developed and launched the Commonwealth's first state-wide office recycling initiative. This successful program resulted in the removal of recyclable materials from the waste stream. Those materials were sold in the marketplace and reused in the manufacture of new products made with recycled materials. The initiative was recognized by City and State Magazine as the nation's most innovative state office recycling program in November, 1990.
