• Responsible for the designing of the surgical tools that are used in surgery to implement artificial knee components. • Reduce the design time for a specific set of surgical tools by streamlining the process that must be followed for each design.• Helped create a tracking sheet to help the engineers keep track of the patient cases (set of implants or tools) that they work on in a work day. • Created a tracking sheet to maintain a log of the cases that were incorrectly produced and needed to redesigned by the engineers.• Certified to review cases designed by other engineers. Once a case has been approved, it is sent manufacturing to be 3-D printed and used in surgery.

QUALITY ASSURANCE • Measured, examined, and provided certificates of quality inspection for parts prior to shipment to assure customer satisfaction, while managing logistics for efficient packing.• Met with customers on the production floor to help provide assistance in explaining the process of their parts, and examine the parts for desired results.• Assisted in examining and determining the quality defects in the supplied polyethylene and polyurethane foams.PRODUCTION SPECIALIST• Operation of band saws, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) controlled wire saws, table saws, Ward water cutter, various drill presses, surface grinders, and other production tools.• Oversight and assistance in the daily production, packaging, and shipment of a polyurethane foam mirror gasket based on the numerical demand for the part. • Communicated and assisted a smooth daily transition between the 1st and 2nd production work force shifts. • Maintained a running inventory of the parts produced on a day to day basis for multiple jobs, as well as the required packaging materials to ship the final product. • Development of part drawings and measurements through the use of SolidWorks.
