This included interfacing with Salesforce, Buyer groups, General Electric train manufacturing and finance teams within and outside of BNSF. My team was responsible for production support on the day-to-day maintenance of material governance as well as writing the functional design documents and driving any new small enhancements using an Agile / Scrum approach. My team also utilized the new SAP Fiori tiles – PC and mobility – along with the business, on ease of use and ensures that the proper training is in place for business users. Guided a team providing direction, coordination and system support for the entire BNSF SAP Support Center. Was responsible for the administration of application infrastructure for SAP environment. Responsible for performing regular maintenance of SAP systems: client / system copies, deployment and testing of SAP support packages, patching management, remote software deployment, virtual servers, software licensing, and support of changes in server configurations as well as managing subnet switches. Was responsible for the management of all areas of SAP Basis: SAP architecture, reporting to management of performance, and upgrades. Worked closely with all support vendors. Evaluated Early Watch system reports and recommended appropriate changes based upon those reports. Managed all SOWs for contractors, SAP support services and procurement of hardware as well as decommissioning of servers. Managed all Disaster Recovery exercises and procedures. Implemented SAP mobile platform for new Fiori phone applications – IOS, Android and Galaxy. Implemented SAP HANA ECC and BW Go-Live(s) (very aggressive timeline) – less than 1,000 roll-outs in North America in 2015. Implemented SAP EAM, retiring an old 3rd Party tool. Implemented Mechanical Asset Management for organization – moving from main-frame to SAP for all train maintenance. Implemented HANA Live Views with Fiori application – allowing for Financial Now information. Proved out ZDO (zero downtime optimization) for no disruption during upgrades. This was critical for disaster recovery and business impact. Managed all Change Management responsibilities for the IT and Business communities that interfaced with all SAP applications. Project of note included “The Road to HANA” SAP HANA upgrade project which was begun with great trepidation, but the roll-out went smoothly and users were very happy with the speed and capabilities of the new platform.
