-Managing all technical aspects of underground Drill and Blast activities at the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Block Cave Mine in Mongolia.- Managing production drill and blast design and contract management of the explosive supply contract.- Overseeing all C8 Explosive Management Standard for Site Underground Scopes (Shaft Sinking, Decline Development, Underground Development, Production )- Oversee the set up of all technical processes and systems related to drill and blast- Management of the Centralized Blasting System for Underground

-Alternate Engineering Manager Shaft 1 Underground Development Services - Oversee the compilation of development drill and blast passports (designs) using Atlas Copco Underground Manager, Deswik and AutoCAD- Manage all technical aspects of underground charging and blasting operations including development drill plan design, drill navigation and development charge design- Deliver safe and efficient post blast re-entry services to the mine- Development QAQC, overbreak, underbreak control, blast vibration monitoring- Train and mentor Mongolian Engineers

- Drill and Blast plans using Deswik for a 3.2 Mtpa operation at the George Fisher Mine in Mount Isa, QLD utilising Longhole stoping, AVOCA transverse and longitudinal stoping. -Stope and LHW production drill and charge plans- Drill and Blast technical QAQC- Updated the Technical Drill and Blast Guidelines

Additional positions I assumed as well as my duties as Senior Ventilation Engineer when active production in the mine had ceased at the Kamoto Copper Mine on August 2015 due to low Copper Prices.- Underground Mine Safety Superintendent- Emergency Response SuperintendentUnderground Mine Safety SuperintendentResponsible for running the underground safety section. Managed a staff of 10 personnel and led high level iCAM investigations. Primarily responsible for maintaining existing and introducing new safety standards. Emergency Response SuperintendentResponsible for an emergency response and firefighting crew of 60 personnel Areas of key responsibility were fire suppression systems, Local Kolwezi airport emergency support and maintaining firefighting and road crash rescue capability for intervention in local community emergencies.

Responsible for all primary and secondary ventilation systems in the Kamoto and T-17 underground mines. Managed 3 engineers and 5 technicians. Additional responsibilities included: Installation and maintenance of Refuge chambers, Ladderway systems, Stench gas systems and the management of Underground Mine Rescue Crews.

Responsible for a crew of 30 underground mine rescue personnel. Managed all mine rescue operations and installed and maintained all administration systems including the acquisition of new mine rescue equipment and infrastructure.I volunteered for this as an additional role whilst I was also the Senior Ventilation Engineer.

Provided technical support to the Project manager. Started up the development and ground support contract for the client MMG Ltd. Managed all technical reporting to head office and all claims and QAQC of development and ground support operations.Compiled all weekly development and ground support plans to comply with the clients target of approximately 400m per month for a fleet of 3 Jumbos, 2 LHD's, 1 Cable bolting rig and a service crew.

Operations Shift Supervisor for the shotcrete crew. Operations consisted of 2 Agitator Trucks a 100t batch plant and 2 shotcrete rigs delivering between 40-50 m3 of shotcrete a day.

Provided technical support to the Project Manager. Managed all contract claims with BHP Billiton for Redpath contract scope which included, shotcreting, cable bolting, surface haulage and crushing and construction crew work. I was also required to stand in as Alternate Project Manager during the absence of the Project Manager.Initiated and successfully implemented 3D Laser scannning to monitor shotcrete thickness.

Responsible for all primary and secondary ventilation systems as the appointed statutory ventilation officer in room and pillar mine with an exhaust capacity of approximately 500m3/s. Additional duties included overseeing raiseboring and drill consumables contracts.

Produced weekly production plans for operations and compiled drill and blast plans in a narrow vein gold mine producing 32,000 t per week using inclined room and pillar mining method. Additional duties included compiling teleremote loading (bogging plans), Daveytronic electronic detonator programming for blasts and explosives stocktakes.

Planned weekly production activities and the medium term ore block extraction in an operation that produced on average 32,000t per week of gold ore using long hole stoping, vertical crater retreat and AVOCA mining methods with cemented aggregate fill.Planned mining sequence and development designs within various ore bodies and compiled preliminary stope shapes for the Drill and Blast Engineers.Active mine rescue member.

Statutory Ventilation Officer duties for secondary and primary ventilation for a 750m3/s ventilation system.

UNDEGROUND OPERATIONS • Stope Charging - MS Devel Dets, MS Dets, LP Dets Uphole Slots, Vertical crater retreat slots, AVOCA style sub level stoping ring charging. • Development Charging - LP Dets• Service crew - ventilation installations, polypipe water installation, rising main installations• Diamond drill offsider - LM90 and LM75 exploration rigs and Mobile Onram 1000 diamond drill rig• Jumbo drill offsider - Atlas Copco Rocket boomer L2c• Production drill offsider - Simba L6C, Tamrock 1006, Tamrock Solo 695.

I collected and collated data on blast vibration analysis. As a trainee engineer, I worked closely with the Geotechnical and Drill and Blast teams to collect analyse and interpret empirical blast monitoring data with respect to geological and geotechnical parameters of the host lithology of the Lihir open pit operations to build the framework for a blast vibration model and damage prediction index for my final year undergraduate thesis.

Completed analysis of time and motion study of underground haulage fleet as part of a production optimization project.
