Sales Engineer for SW Michigan

Initially hired to assist current territory sales engineer in the service of a major tier II Automotive parts supplier plant, then added an additional tier II plant to service in 2004. Responsibilities included performing tool tests against competitors as well as upgrading our own material, and providing detailed reporting of all activities. Secondary function was to attend plant staff meetings and communicate with engineering on all projects and all associated special MODCO tooling and Valenite gauging. In 2005 I was promoted to Territory Sales Engineer and assigned a territory consisting of roughly 40% of all western lower Michigan where I work with 5 primary distributors as well as several secondary points of distribution, providing them with one on one support, training and service assistance. Despite a depressed market conditions in this area my territory has shown steady gains in sales since August of 2005.

Sales Engineer Hired to assist in establishing company sales district in southwestern Michigan. Responsible for establishing and maintaining customer base, providing customers with diverse selection of cutting tools, coolants, and abrasives. Provide technical assistance with product representatives as needed. Continual increase in sales resulted in addition of second sales representative to the area. Earned a position on the Tool Management "A" Team, to support new TM program launches in Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin. I continue to help reduce cost and time in machining processes across my territory.

Involved with Milpro Group pilot truck program. Responsible for all aspects of operating an industrial distribution vehicle including AP/AR, setup and design of territory, providing technical assistance to customers in their selection of cutting tools, coolants and abrasives, and determining inventory of vehicle based on customer needs. Responsible for all aspects of machining, brazing, and assembly of tankless water heaters. I was also responsible for assisting engineer with research and development projects. I was responsible for developing and improving processes in manufacturing products. Trained and supervised production staff.
