Business Development for Kharafi Holdings (Pty) Ltd (SA subsidiary of one of the largest private companies in the Arab World, The Kharafi Group - A conglomerate that encompasses over 100 businesses operating throughout the Mideast, Africa and Eastern Europe in Hospitality, Property, Construction, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Food, Energy and Marketing). With the ultimate objective of enhancing the company success and scope in designated lines of business, my role included market research and trend analysis to determine appropriate target investments in strategic growth sectors; to ensure that all possible, new or enhanced opportunities were exploited; competitive landscape assessment; fostering of relationships with strategic partners in target sectors, etc. In creating and enhancing strategic drivers for the Group I was in direct contact with the Executive Committee and business analysts in Kuwait, and with senior management of subsidiary companies in which the Kharafi family had material stakes
