I’ve always enjoyed a challenge – either physical in nature or trying to come up with a solution to a problem. I love learning and experiencing new things. Working in a family business has certainly provided me with that. My experiences have been very hands on, from unpacking containers when timelines where tight, through to negotiating contracts and working with some of Australia’s largest retail chains. I’ve supplemented my experience with formal education, including a Masters from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a passion for learning. I’ve learned that you need to surround yourself with positive relationships, be it the people in your company, suppliers, customers or personal life. The collective positive power of people is one of the biggest influencers of success. Just as important however, is finding a way to bring something new to the table and that takes creative thought, a bit of risk taking, consistent execution and the energy to stick with it. My goal is to keep learning and experiencing new things. Opportunities present themselves all the time. You just need to be aware they are there and have the energy to pursue them.
