Contract to create a framework of multi-threaded Python3 software for controlling custom memory media tester machines, controlling I2C sensors and power supplies, communicating with an embedded microprocessor, and allowing for user control with a CLI, a touch console, and web server dashboard.Contract for firmware running in the NuttX real-time embedded OS that controls board level control functions for a liquid-cooled supercomputer. Rewrote the I2C hardware driver for chained message handling. Created Linux-style drivers for various temperature and current sensors, ADC and IO expanders. Designed a message handling protocol over PCIe using TCP, and an extensive command and response user interface with HTTP.Contract to create firmware for both Teensy and Microchip microprocessors that are controllers for an NVMe burn-in and test platform for a major storage company, driving various sensor and control chips over I2C, handling control commands and returning notifications to a Linux host.

Architected and implemented an entire SAAS product that creates an interactive content delivery system for pilot training, comprised of C++ server VM apps utilizing UDP/TCP sockets, an Android App in Java, and a web-based user management system using NodeJS, MongoDB and the Stripe payments system.

Lead firmware architect and team lead for a flash ASIC with NVMe, the design employing custom asynchronous message handling protocols between multiple ARM/Tensilica processors to achieve industry leading IOPs, bandwidth, and latency.

NVME compliant Windows driver with advanced features, including command and performance monitoring capabilities, as well as driver test and configuration programs, an IO data integrity tool, a Windows service WMI data provider, and a CLI for system component configuration and retrieval/display of performance data.

Solely responsible for the design and development of very stable storage Windows ScsiPort and Storport miniport drivers for 4 generations of 3ware/AMCC/LSI’s SATA/SAS RAID and MegaRaid controller products, supporting all versions of both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, and all Logo/WHQL certified. Created automated performance measuring systems in Excel. Wrote companion NT services, driver and SNMP agent installers, developer utilities, and related user applications.
