From a young age I loved tinkering, creating, building and solving challenging problems, whether it was overhauling a classic car or developing emerging software. Over the years that passion has grown to building teams and organizations with an inspired vision of the future, empowered to capture that vision. As a strategic and results-driven technology leader, I have had opportunity to apply my passion by leading global software development and technology modernization for a Fortune 10 company. I have served as an influential and innovative leader, building and scaling new global technology teams while fostering a culture of empowerment and enablement to drive positive changes, solutions, transformations, and change the future of the industry.I leverage deep technical expertise and leadership skills to tackle opportunities, develop roadmaps, gain buy-in, and craft elegant solutions to complex problems. A few notable accomplishments of which I am incredibly proud include:• Designing a new approach for forecasting the IT budget; tied together Agile delivery metrics and capability-based budgeting in support of the continuous improvement of processes and strategic direction. Created a spend analysis assessing business capability, delivery metrics, and the investment dimension. • Growing the technology center from zero to 120 employees in 3 years to support 800 FTEs and 2,000 MSPs; applied my expertise in information technology, team leadership, development planning, and continuous process improvement.• Combining the business line and IT departments to create a fusion Digital Transformation organization. Creating clarity and value driven prioritization with decreased overhead and increased product delivery by 25%.While not working you will often find me tinkering on classic cars, getting away to the mountains or travelling the world with my family and a camera in hand. I am excited to expand my professional network and see what the future may hold.

Worked on a variety of software projects and teams across multiple domains: reservoir modeling and simulation, 3D visualization, data engineering, data analytics, and developer tools. Some projects were well established with large code bases and established development practices. I was able to leverage my computer science background to develop complex algorithms and see those generate value with end users while gaining experience with large scale software development and commercialization. Other projects were in early conceptualization phases where I created prototypes and worked with business leaders to pitch an idea and take it forward to full execution. ExxonMobil’s size gave me exposure to everything from small startup type opportunities to large corporate scale development with thousands of users and tens of millions of lines of code. Through all of this I developed a love and great appreciation for the art of Software Craftsmanship.
