As Construction Manager for Zinfra, my role includes the management of internal and sub-contract resources, compliance with cultural heritage and environmental requirements, liaison with all project stakeholders including land owners and general public, client representatives, local and state government agencies, affected utility owners and other project participants. Additionally, I am responsible for maintaining a safety focussed culture by all project participants whilst ensuring the project is completed on time and to budget.The QNI Lines Uprating project is to uprate works on the 330kV Queensland - NSW interconnector (QNI). When completed, this uprating will allow a higher power transfer capability through the QNI on Lines 83, 84 and 88 between Tamworth Substation and Liddell Power Station Substation by increasing the operating temperature from 85°C to 120°C. The project scope extends some 160km from Muswellbrook to Tamworth in the Upper Hunter Valley, and involves the replacement of 58 existing towers with new steel pole structures, and additional works on 150 towers to increase conductor clearances as required.

As a Customer Projects Advisor I negotiated, managed and delivered customer projects to facilitate new and upgraded customer supply requirements, site installation and commissioning of substations. A key part of the role was managing supply outages with businesses including negotiation of down times, supply interruptions and back up supply advice.I built and maintained effective relationships with both state and local government, and community groups, as well as internal stakeholders for improved project outcomes. This involved liaison and negotiation with Local and State Government agencies and land owners to obtain access for power line works, including easement registrations, and co-ordination of, and consultation with, engineers, design, drafting, survey and construction resources to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and meet the requirements of budget, quality, risk, safety and environmental standards.I spent several months seconded to the CitiPower offices in Richmond to perform these tasks on the CitiPower network in Melbourne's CBD and inner eastern suburbs.
