In addition, my team and I are developing and implementing new assays to improve process and product understanding. I have been involved in many start-up activities establishing process and analytic development labs at the new North Carolina site. These roles have included contributions to: laboratory space planning, instrumentation ordering and installation, hiring a growing team of scientists, and creating business processes to encourage the collaborative flow of data across several sites.

In the protein biochemistry group I characterized various protein based therapeutics. My research contributed to lead drug selection, IND filing, process comparability, and BLA filing. Additionally I purified, characterized and performed labeling of various protein based reagents to support GLP bioassay requirements. Techniques include: SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, Two Dimensional PAGE, Isoelectric Focusing (IEF), ELISA, Size Exclusion Chromatography (HPLC, and UPLC), Affinity Chromatrography, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE-SDS and cIEF), and Light Scatter (MALLS).

Luger LaboratoryI started as an undergraduate research assistant and continued to complete my masters degree focusing on the binding interactions between Histone complexes and the chaperone NAP1.Techniques include: sub-cloning, protein expression, protein purification, medium scale DNA expression and purification, fluorescence spectroscopy, protein-DNA complex reconstitution.
