Etch Process sustaining. Maximize production and mitigate risk in an extremely advanced manufacturing facility.

Returned to the Fab25 Etch Module to help address a shortage of experienced engineers. Sustain production and assist process engineering with new tool and process qualification. Assist management to obtain production output and cumulative line yield. Fab25 is very dynamic in adding new technologies at a rapid rate. We are currently in transition to volume 65nm Flash technology.Achievements: 6 Sigma Brown Belt, internal 6 Sigma training. Multiple Presidents Spotlight Awards and Cost Reduction Champion Award.

Supervisor for a support group for AMD and Spansion's Fab25, semiconductor manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas. I worked as a supervisor for about 3 years in between engineering assignments. Supervisor for 10-15 technicians responsible for wafer starts, wafer shipment, equipment logistics and WIP management to meet productions goals.

Promoted through the technical Engineering Positions, Maunfacturing Engineer I and II to the first Engineering Management Position, Operations Engineer in the Fab25 Etch Module. Fab25 was responsible for manufacturing the only remaining Intel processor competitors at that time. Sustained production through advanced Stastistical Process control methods.Facilitated Continuous Improvement Teams responsible for implementing modifications and developments that increased speed and productivity. Determined work assignments for tool operators and technicians that rendered efficient operations and oversaw personnel issues during shift manager's absence. Worked daily with people of varying skill levels, including tool operators, repair technicians, process engineers, tool vendors and module managers. Assisted Process Engineers in the factory transitions of .35 to .18 Micron logic processors .18 and .13 Micron Flash Memory products. Collaborated with process development engineers assisting with multiple experiments and data analysis.

Advanced to guide production for the Fab25 Etch Module within a high volume microchip fabrication facility. Worked with approximately 30 to 40 operators and seven to nine tool technicians that aimed for an increase in productivity and a reduction of wafer losses and yield inhibitors. Developed curriculum for equipment specific training and taught new tool operators. Earned title of productivity leader among four shifts. Created and implemented a tracking system that made it easier to find the "last known good data" for a tool, regarding defect inspection and critical dimension measurements. Fostered improvements as a contributor of the Metal Etch Continuous Improvement Team, including process implementations that increased tool uptime and throughput, experiment management and overall communication efforts.

Oversaw daily monitoring of production activities. Performed quality reviews through utilization of Statistical Process Controls. Accomplished daily activities in cooperation with approximately 12 tool operators and four tool technicians operating in a team environment. Assisted in developing new processes and qualifying new equipment in the Fab10 Etch Module.

Retail sales of Business machines, including: Computers, Fax machines, copiers, telephone and other office equipment. Successful record of sales achievements. Recieved quarterly bonus for exceeding sales targets for most quarters employed.
