Voluntarily took a non/management role in BMC’s IT team to build knowledge of non-mainframe blade systems architecture and management. In this role I would recommend, specify and purchase enterprise server and network hardware and software for BMC's growing Enterprise Systems Management organization. Involved in virtualization and cloud computing with 1,000’s of R&D servers. Liaison for research and development teams to IS&T production teams for the acquisition and implementation of new system configurations. Managed IT communications through corporate messaging including email, alerts and instructional videos.

Managed teams of up to 20 individuals in software development, quality assurance and customer support for some of BMC's mainframe product line. Completed several of BMC’s management training programs. Also spent a few years managing a product team in the Enterprise Systems Management (non-mainframe) business unit working with the PATROL product line. Daily management of development schedules, test design and execution as well as software defect issues and customer satisfaction. Fluent in the BMC technologies from the legacy Optimizer(R) and Superoptimizer(R) products continuing into the MAINVIEW line in areas such as network management and IMS. Recognized for outstanding performance numerous times with corporate trip awards.

Started work with the Program Products team, installing and configuring software for the IBM MVS and TSO environments. Moved to a systems programming role for IBM VM/SP, HPO, XA and ESA systems with sole responsibility for availability and performance of several mainframe systems and installed applications. Developed in-house software for systems monitoring as well as data center migration projects.
