Serve as member of the Selective Service System insuring that the Nation’s framework for a draft is fully functional and prepared to process induction orders if a Presidential Order is declared. Responsible for screening and interviewing Selective Service civilian board member candidates who are then appointed by the Governor of Kentucky. Provide training Initial Board Member Training and Continuous Training to board members on the proper operation of a draft board. Work with local schools and Post Offices to ensure men aged 18-25 are reminded of the registration requirement. Prepare and maintain contingency plans to ensure space, equipment and supplies are available in the event a draft is activated.

Served as Primary Staff Officer providing overall supervision and responsibility for the personnel and administrative systems of a Warrior Transition Battalion which transitioned well over 1600 Soldiers over a 2 year period. Supervised staff in areas of personnel and strength accounting, unit administration, promotions, reenlistment, finance, Human Resource systems, and Organizational Inspection programs. Established plans, policies, and procedures for special duty, safety, implementation of the Military Medical Tracking System (MMTS), and awards programs. Managed officer, enlisted and civilian evaluations reports. Served as postal officer, unit fund manager, and a Defense Travel System (DTS) approving authority. Managed protocol issues, coordination of unit social activities, served as a civilian time card approving authority. • Hand selected by the Battalion Commander to be mobilized in support of the mission at the Warrior Transition Battalion. • Implemented a pilot program called MMTS the results of which lead to upgrades to software that was launched Army-wide in January of 2011.

Deployed as an Embedded Team Trainer with the Afghan National Army (ANA) in a mentoring role for an ANA Infantry Company. Accountable for training and employment of the ANA’s combat power in full spectrum operations with a focus on coalition military operations in urban terrain, limited visibility, and precision operations. • Secured polling sites in the Kandahar Province during the parliamentary and provincial council elections in September 2005 with no loss of life and a successful delivery of ballots to and from the regional election center in downtown Kandahar.

Commanded the operations and employment of a company of M1A1 tanks and related equipment. Directed training, administration, supply maintenance, transportation, and security activities of the unit. Ensured that combat readiness, physical fitness, welfare, morale, conduct, and force protection of the company and the well-being of their families were met at all times. Accounted for and maintained vehicles and organizational equipment valued in excess of $50 million.• Selected by the Brigade Commander as the Company Commander whose Armor Company would serve as a “Heavy Team” to support a Light Infantry Brigade at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) at Fort Polk, LA• When, after 14 months of training, combat operations prevented the execution of the JRTC rotation was selected to lead the company in securing the Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond, KY in support of Operation Noble Eagle.

Negotiated for all costs of the raw materials required in a sheet metal job shop specializing in the manufacturing of heating, ventilating, dust control and air conditioning systems typically used in the tobacco industry. Managed outsourcing of manufacturing operations when capacity issues required it. Identified operations that could be completed in-house to increase profitability and efficiency. Maintained a 21 machine computer network. Purchased raw materials, office supplies, software and equipment. Worked with Suppliers to expedite deliveries. Organized the shipping of finished goods to the customer. Served as one of the company’s draftsmen utilizing AutoCAD. • Designed and posted the company’s first website.
