I am responsible directing my team towards the placement of our graduates into positions that are directly related to the educational expertise they gain while at Everest.

Manage recruitment efforts for a territory that employs two Vice Presidents, twenty-two District Managers, and over 250 retail store managersRecruit and select management associates for existing vacancies, as well as new store openings by partnering with District Managers and Vice PresidentsSchedule interviews with Hiring ManagersEnsure consistency in hiring practices and in compliance with all lawsSource candidates to build a pipeline of qualified applicants for all field management positions utilizing local networking resources, internet recruiting, job fairs, referrals, and local college relations Target candidates based on determined success factors including previous company experience and educationPlan and facilitate career fairs to pro-actively identify candidates and to build upon company's brandFollow up with new hires at 30, 60, 90 and 120 days to ensure adequate trainingCoach hiring managers on behavioral based interviewing techniquesInterview internal management associates for promotional opportunities and provide recommendations to management teamsManage recruitment costs by eliminating newspaper ads and travel costs for most positions Administer assessment testing to candidates for district level positions and beyond within the organizationPartner closely with hiring managers and Regional Human Resource Business Partner to anticipate hiring/ training needs, develop staffing plans, and schedule "touch base" meetingsExperience in utilizing a formal applicant tracking systemActive Partner in quarterly succession planning meetings with our Regional Vice Presidents, Human Resource Business Partners and District ManagersHold recruiting workshops for store management teams to understand best practices on how to select associatesInteract professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all contacts, internal and external, with emphasis on company interests

Train all new salaried management for Texas area storesAdminister a six week training program called PETCORE to all newly hired and promoted mangers in the Texas marketDevelop specific learning plans for new store managers based on an assessment of their skillsPartner closely with District Managers and the Regional Training Manager to identify strengths and weaknesses of candidates in the program and partner to develop plans to assist themFollow up on newly hired and trained managers at their home stores after training, to ensure they are on track and getting the continued support they need to be successful

Investigate complaints from internal associates that are called into our Human Resources department and/or directly to the company's hotline number.Travel extensively across the country to investigate employee issues and to be a positive support for our store teams.Recruit salaried management for vacancies and pipelining efforts within our fifteen state market from Colorado, East to FloridaAdminister Assessment testing to candidates for district level positions and higher within the organizationPartner with hiring managers, and my supervisor, the Regional Human Resources Director, in decisions surrounding investigations around areas of animal care neglect, time card fraud, sexual harassment, discrimination and a host of other issues within our stores.
