Managed a team of software developers providing IT software infrastructure for the retail industry. Developed software to optimize retail workflows to integrate with warehouse, accounting and business intelligent applications. Worked closely with outside teams and the organization to ensure optimized and reliable processes and provide excellent customer support. Developed and supported a cross platform infrastructure that included a C#/.Net/MVC web environment, as well as MySql, PHP and Python open source solutions.

Leading a team of software developers, I am responsible for the design and development of the user interface for a surveillance tracking system. Technologies include Windows Services, WPF, Entity Framework and WCF. All programming is done in C# .NET 4.5 with Visual Studio 2013 and SQL Server 2012.

Leading a group of software development engineers, my team completed a terrain loading system that interfaces with legacy military mapping software.Other projects included a new content management system, providing a transaction based system for controlling large amounts of graphical content. Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) were used for this project. The software also requires knowledge of graphics programming, along with both managed and native C++.

Leading a group of five software development engineers in the Microsoft IP Television organization, my team finished a completed a rewrite of the automated build system. All programming was done in C# .Net. The system is an extensive multi-threaded transaction-based database application, with elements utilizing ASP.Net, Web Services, Windows Forms, XML Parsing, Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), TCP/IP sockets, and Task Scheduler APIs. I was the lead designer and architect of the project.Architected and implemented the IP Television’s logging infrastructure. Originally written in C++, it was re-written in an early version of C#. This system was a distributed implementation using databases and telecommunications.Other responsibilities were to develop tools for the Microsoft IP Television effort, including source code management, bug tracking and installers.Technologies included Microsoft’s Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), developed with C# and running under .NET 3.5. Source control was Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server (TFS).

I completed the porting of a publish-subscribe middleware product from UNIX to OS/390; performed coding as needed. Upon completion of the porting project, assumed the position of software engineer for NT ad UNIX platforms. I worked with makefiles, Korn Shell, UNIX tools, and PC batch files. Installed Perforce and converted all files from CVS. Co-authored extensive automated release management tool, incorporating Perforce, GNUMake, and UNIX utilities such as GREP and SED. Worked extensively with Install Shield.

I completed the coding for a major SNMP enhancement to an existing MVS network management product. Code was written in S/390 assembler and C++.
