Greg pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree (Biology) and completed an Honours Thesis in Fish Ecology at the University of Ottawa in 1999. Since, he has worked as an aquatic specialist/fisheries biologist in three separate sectors over the last 15 years. Greg is a Qualified Aquatic Environmental Specialist (QAES) and is a designated P.Biol. in Alberta and a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) with R.P. Bio. designation in British Columbia. His diverse professional background has afforded him a unique and valuable perspective on western Canada’s aquatic resources, with project work being completed in coastal, alpine, and prairie systems, in both lotic and lentic environments. Greg has gained experience in many types of fisheries field study designs, data collection and analysis, and regularly liaises with various industry members, special interest groups, first nations, private stakeholders and regulating agencies. Greg has proven on the job management experience and relevant professional, technical and safety training. While enjoying managing, coordinating and leading field elements of fisheries projects, Greg also supervises and mentors junior and intermediate staff. Greg has delivered efficient and innovative fish assessment and compensation programs, led numerous successful business development proposals and provides effective quality assurance.In addition to his current role as a Senior Aquatic Specialist with TERA, a CH2M Hill Company, Greg is also an instructor with the Natural Resources Extension Program of Vancouver Island University and has completed unique fisheries associated projects as the Principal Biologist of East Slopes Aquatic Consulting.Specialties: Fisheries, Aquatic Ecology, Project Management, Business Development, Liaisons, Staff Supervision and Mentoring and Technical Instruction.
