As Regional Director, I manage Talent Development Secondary school transformation projects at partner schools in Seattle, Chicago and Detroit. My responsibilities include:- designing instructional and organizational reform efforts specific to school needs- providing training in research based instructional and student support practices- developing and managing contractual relationships with districts and schools- developing and managing TDS staff who provide instructional and organizational professional development and coaching to school staff- analyzing implementation and outcome data and providing staff development in data analysis- managing relationships with other non-profit organizations partnering in school transformation efforts- providing school administrators with coaching support in organizational and instructional responsibilities- acting as representative of TDS in relationships with school districts, state boards of education and other organizations- providing staff development and ongoing support to TDS Field Managers- writing grant proposals and developing philanthropic financial support of school transformation work- developing new school and district relationships

Talent Development Secondary, Johns Hopkins University

As Field Manager for TDS, JHU, I acted as liaison between Talent Development Secondary, JHU and Chicago Public Schools. This entailed negotiating and managing contracts and budgets as well as facilitating agreements for delivery of services. I managed a team of Instructional Coaches who delivered embedded professional development for teachers in seven Chicago high schools. I developed and delivered professional development for teachers and principals in areas including effective instructional practices, differentiated instruction, tiered interventions, technology integration and school culture and climate management. I developed on-line tools for sharing instructional and management strategies and student data. I developed and coordinated academic and cultural events bringing together students from multiple schools.

As an Instructional Specialist, I provided teachers with professional development and on site instructional coaching in effective instructional planning and pedagogy. I also developed curriculum, developed instructional resources and facilitated professional learning communities at four high schools.

I taught World Literature, Speech and Debate, Creative Writing, and Journalism, receiving all highest ratings on my evaluations. I founded and coached the policy debate team. I founded and facilitated the Amnesty International chapter.

I taught English I, speech and debate, and Freshman Seminar, receiving top ranking on all evaluations. I was team lead in the ninth grade academy and mentored new teachers. I co-founded and coached the policy debate team.
