People’s Emergency Center (PEC) helps homeless families through a comprehensive approach and is recognized nationally as a best practice. The families who turn to us for help achieve stability through our shelter and housing, as well as on- site counseling, employment, parenting and children’s programs.

Since 1980 Maternity Care Coalition has been bringing together people who care about the health and well-being of pregnant women, infants and young children, and high risk families.

Breakthrough is a six-year academic program that builds a path from middle school to college for low-income students from Philadelphia’s public schools. Breakthrough also inspires talented high school and college students to become educators and engaged citizens by giving them responsibility for teaching in the program.
