Electrical construction engineer for the BP Milne Point Projects TeamWorked on completion of electrical design for “S” Pad in 2002 and saw to completion, supported operations and maintenance electrical projects, modifications to the production facility inside and outside, managed buried 13.8 kV cable replacements, In 2005 was the Lead E/I Construction engineer on the removal of one 13.8 kV 25 MVA generator and the replacement with a refurbished "Brush" generator. There were many issues electrical and mechanical that had to be addressed. Provided commissioning direction to success. Much support for code driven issues including field listing of the Centrlift VSD's. In 2007 witnessed a high current exposure test on 2 of the drives in a Utility test area in North Carolina. The current was a 40,000 amp wave which the drive detected and shut itself off without any damage. The drives were field listed by UL. Strong experience with code ethics and arctic installations as the adopted year of the NEC was state law in Alaska. Witnessed the harmonic affects of the VSD's serving the downhole electrical pumps and found the 6 pulse drives had no harmonic mitigation. Began specifying 12 pulse drives to help mitigate the harmonic power affects. Trained using ETAP power system software and modeled the entire BP Milne Point Facilty and subsequently performed the arc flash calculations and made panel labels and installed them for safety compliance.
