Senior executive for Buckner’s Strategy and Performance Support division that supported Buckner’s $34M children and family services division. Responsibilities included overall operations performance, management and control, strategy development, service offering development, and organizational effectiveness.Accomplishments: • Managed a team of 5 corporate professionals with a total operating budget of approximately $2.4M. • Developed and managed the 2009 - 2011 Total BCFS controllable budgets ($32.0M, $33.7M and $34.5M). These plans included over 180 cost centers and came in under budget by $1.7M (10.9%), $1.8m (6.6%, and $1.2M (6.3%) respectively. • Designed and implemented a number of critical business capabilities that facilitated Buckner’s strategic growth objectives including: • Implemented 5-year business planning. These plans were used to identify key opportunities to expand and grow Buckner existing operations. They also served as a way to share key experiences across the organization.• A Knowledge Exchange and Knowledge Management process to record, collect, store, retrieve and report on Buckner’s business. This includes strategy and performance, domestic operations, international operations, service offerings, volunteer management, resource acquisition and fulfillment, and business development reporting. It was estimated this saved 3 FTEs of work per year. • A new financial reporting application based on a financial data mart. • Developed a talent management framework. Critical components include knowledge capture and sharing, work assignment and management, performance feedback, transition planning, employee engagement & advocacy, talent planning and acquisition, and talent development and retention. • Implemented an employee engagement survey that supported all of the division of Buckner International, a total of 1300 employees.

Responsible for the organizational management and development of all community (transitional services to alumni of foster care, prevention & early intervention state contract) and residential (foster care, adoption, residential group care, assessment and emergency shelter, as well as residential treatment) programs in the Southeast Texas region, including public relations, development, human resource management, and budget oversight. Maintained state contracts and licenses for various programs. Developed contacts in community to support all of Buckner work. Accomplishments: • Lead successful transition of campus residential programs to foster group care model, reducing budget by over $500,000 while maintaining and expanding quality for clients served through family-based care. • Recruited and led local church in Buckner international trip to Guatemala City and Antigua, Guatemala.
