The North West Of England And North Wales

Working within the IDE Group Field Service team, my role includes the maintenance & repair of equipment belonging to customers of IDE Group in the North of England. This equipment includes PC’s, scanners, printers, thin clients, servers, switches, wireless equipment, blackberries and smartphones. As I am also site trained, I have experience of Microsoft Exchange Server and Active Directory administration for various customers. My role also includes work with the Project team, working both within a team and on my own, relocating customer offices, systems migration and testing of equipment prior to migration.

Manchester Airport

My role was the maintenance of computer systems throughout Manchester Airport. Working in shifts as a team we repaired faults with equipment on the ARINC MUSE system on checkin, departure gates and offices. We also maintained the Manchester Airport Information System Kiosks (MAISY) as well as several privately owned networks within the airport. Maintenance included repairing pc’s & peripherals on-site, communicating with airline host systems and recovering file servers and gateways should they fail. I had produced training courses for engineers and ran courses for system users. I also produced icons and graphics for the ARINC MUSE system worldwide as well as a HTML based information application for Manchester Airport Engineers.

Wythenshawe Service Centre

My role was to repair PC’s and printers to component level.
