I am a Software Engineering Leader with over 20 years of development experience and 15 years of management experience focused on leading highly effective software and product delivery teams. I am as comfortable writing code and designing software as I am leading teams and setting vision. In the last 10 years, I have helped lead two startups to successful exits, have been responsible for a $2 million budget at a Fortune 30 company, and have been the Lead Technologist of an Innovation Lab. I am passionate about technology, building products, and helping teams grow and succeed.In my current role as Staff Vice President of Digital Product Engineering at Centene, I lead a team of 40+ software engineers, QA, DevOps and Data Scientists and am responsible for the growth, strategic direction, and development of the consumer technology products in support of our Marketplace line of business. After receiving my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (with a minor in Philosophy) from Bucknell University, my career has included contributor and leadership positions in a number of successful healthcare startups, including running Engineering teams for LiveHealthier, a digital wellness company acquired by Centene, and HealthCentral, a social community of patients and experts acquired by Remedy Health Media. Residing with my family in Alexandria, VA, I actively pursue emerging technical trends such as SmartHome, IoT, 3d Printing, crypto and Machine Learning techniques in between watching the Washington Capitals on their quest for another Stanley Cup.
