Responsible for training entry level police officers post-academy to meet Virginia Department of Criminal Justice standards. Serves as an individual instructor to develop entry level police officers in officer survival, community engagement, legal procedures, and the enforcement of criminal and traffic laws.

Conducts background investigations during the police applicant hiring process. Prepares detailed reports on applicants involving personal history, finances, and potential disqualifying events.

TD trained and certified Marines are subject matter experts on conducting, planning and questioning of cooperative subjects and dissemination of intelligence related information. These specialists are expected to possess a working knowledge of the fundamentals of the production of intelligence related reporting and dissemination, planning collection efforts, intelligence, basic intelligence questioning and a basic understanding of the rights of individuals being questioned. This MOS is to be assigned only as a FMOS and will be assigned and voided only by the authority of the Director of Intelligence (DIRINT).
