Developing a smart facility management tool which I started from scratch in 2015.Initially created just to help me run more efficient facilities, however turns out a lot of other people needed it too, its been massively enhanced since and grown fast into the market, making a real difference to its users. To ensure its ongoing success I have now made it my full time focus and joined the rest of the OpsPal team leading on the products future development. Responsible for the management of University of Reading Sports facilties, managing the budget, operations and functions. To ensure customers and members are provided with the highest level of customer service and to take the lead in delivering the Sports Strategy.- Managing the day to day running and commercial performance of the University Sports facilities.- Overall responsibility for the entire SportsPark team consisting of circa 30+ full time members of staff and circa 35+ casual instructors and consultants implementing the daily operational procedures and work practises to ensure the delivery of a high standard of customer service and safety in all areas.- Direct responsibility for all aspects of health and safety to ensure it's effectively managed.- Directly line managing the senior management team recruitment and selection, agreeing and monitoring work programmes and projects and performance management where required- Leading on developing and implementing a marketing strategy to meet the business objectives. - Budget holder with full financial accountability; profit and loss, income, expenditure- Writing business development and committee papers to influence senior management- Initiating new business development opportunities to continue to increase the SportsParks income and communicate current and new opportunities- Writting business cases for capital investment projects to improve and expand sports facilities and work with the projects team to scope operational requirements and scope out running costs post implementation.- To develop links with supporting bodies such as BUCS (British University and Colleges Sports)
