As a mentor I worked with a group of three to five students, who sought extra help with curricular activities, and ensured their graduation. I filed detailed reports on their current work, late work, and work due while reporting to the director of student support, and I demonstrated a commanding presence in written and oral communication.

Working as I 'drop-in hours' tutor I would collectively engage with the students from Sierra Nevada College, the local elementary schools, and the local high school to ensure the best possible learning outcomes. At times I would work with two or even three students while effectively tutoring two different subjects.

As an editor for the Sierra Nevada Review I worked closely with a team of editors to fill the issue with only the best, creative, and innovative content possible. After that, I would be given certain pieces to copy edit to ensure the house style was met, and before the completion of the book I would take part in the final over look: front and back matter, gutter space, the actual in-design, cover photo, and back add.

Here I worked as a tutor and a copy editor. If I was not tutoring math, I was copy editing Apex Learning sheets the students would work off of: meaning I would have to make sure all pictures, text, and answer lines were acceptable and seem less so the students could learn without any distractions.
